Iqaluit lawyer Anne Crawford has a new job.

Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.’s President Cathy Towtongie announced Feb. 23 that Crawford will serve as principal secretary for NTI, with responsibility for the president’s office and political relations with other agencies.

“I’ve known Anne for years, both personally and professionally, and I know that I can count on her to provide strategic advice to guide NTI in our quest to realize full implementation of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement,” said Towtongie.

Crawford has lived in Nunavut for more than 30 years and has held several key positions in the territory, as the Government of the Northwest Territories’ conflict of interest commissioner, cabinet secretary for the Government of Nunavut, president of the Qulliq Energy Corp., and northern director of the Akitsiraq Law School Society.

Crawford began work with NTI this week.
