Family and friends of a missing Kuujjuaraapik woman are asking for the public’s help in finding Mary Mickeyook of Kuujuaraapik.

Mickeyook, 60, arrived in Montreal June 10 for some medical appointments.

She was staying at the YMCA facility on Tupper St., which houses Nunavik patients during their stay in the city.

But that was the last day anyone saw her.

She did not turn up at her scheduled medical appointment June 12, according to her family and friends.

And it doesn’t appear she had plans to go elsewhere, as Mickeyook’s belongings were left in her YMCA room.

Montreal police encourage anyone with information on Mickeyook’s whereabouts to call police at (514) 280-2222 or they can call Info Crime anonymously at (514) 393-1133.
