Elisapie Isaac’s latest album Travelling Love has been nominated for an ADISQ – one of Quebec’s major music awards.

Travelling Love, released in 2012, has been nominated in the category of best English-language album.

Isaac’s third album was released last November under her new solo artist name, Elisapie.

And it was recorded under the label Pheromone Record/Vega Musique, where Elisapie worked with the award-winning singer-songwriter Jim Corcoran, an anglo-Quebecer best known for his French-language albums, who co-wrote six tracks on the album.

Travelling Love is mostly an English-language album, peppered with Inuktitut, such as in the song Salluit — a song about spring and the homesickness the Montreal-based Isaac feels for her native community.

The Juno award-winning Isaac will face off against an eclectic mix of other English-lanuage Quebec artists including Coral Egan, Groenland, Champion and Marilou.

ADISQ is the Association québecoise de l’industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la vidéo, which serves to promote Quebec music at home and across the world.

Winners will be announced at ADISQ’s award gala will be held Oct. 27 at Montreal’s Place des Arts, and also broadcast on Radio-Canada.
