If you’re a Nunavut resident and like creating art, you can enter the Nunavut Arts and Crafts Association’s logo contest for the 2013 Alianait Arts Festival and the Nunavut Arts Festival.

This year’s theme is “Enchanted Owl,” in honour of late Cape Dorset artist Kenojuak Ashevak.

Any form of art is eligible, including jewellery, painting, drawing and carving.

But the design should reflect the “Enchanted Owl” theme.

The contest, open to Nunavut residents of all ages, will see winning designs digitized and used in promotional material for both festivals.

The prizes for the contest include festival swag and cash prizes of $500 for the first place winner and $250 for the second place winners.

Participants can upload images of their submissions on NACA’s website, where people will vote on their favorite of the top three designs.

Submissions must be received by April 5.
