Man, 22, hospitalized after attack outside his residence

RCMP members in Pangnirtung are still looking for someone who stabbed a 22-year-old man outside his residence in Pangnirtung Jan. 16, police said in a news release issued Jan 19.

The assailant wore a black ski mask and “all black clothing,” police said.

The 22-year-old stabbing victim, who police did not name, was flown to the Qikiqtani General hospital in Iqaluit, where he’s being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the incident is isolated and that “there does not appear to be a public safety concern.”
