Nunavut RCMP charge Igloolik woman with second degree murder

Woman detained in custody until court appearance

An Igloolik woman faces a second-degree murder charge in relation to the death of a man in the community on the evening of June 29, the Nunavut RCMP said in a news release July 2.

Police have arrested the woman, but did not disclose her name or the name of the man she is alleged to have killed.

She will be held in custody until a court appearance July 16.

Members of the “V” division major crimes unit and the Igloolik detachment are investigating the man’s death, police said.
