Police in Pond Inlet are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours of June 6.

RCMP members responded to a report of shots fired outside a residence located in the 1100 block of the community of about 1,700 people at about 3:30 a.m., police said.

When they arrived, they saw what appeared to be bullet holes in a vehicle and in the front window of a residence where the vehicle was parked, police said about 12 hours later.

“At the time of the incident it was reported there were several people in and around the vehicle and inside the home, however there were no injuries due to the alleged gun shots,” the release said.

The investigation continues with the assistance of the “V” Division major crime unit, police said.
