A young circus performer paints her face in Kuujjuaq this week. Until July 8, the Kativik Regional Government’s Cirqiniq social circus program is hosting a summer camp in Kuujjuaq. More than 50 teens from across the region are learning circus techniques from Cirque du Soleil instructors as well as throat-singing, yoga and set and costume design. On July 7, the youth will put on a parade and a performance, beginning 7 p.m. at Kuujjuaq’s Jaanimmarik School. (PHOTO COURTESY OF THE KRG)
