Photo: A good hare day in Arctic Bay

Good hare day: an Arctic hare surveys the windswept expanse Oct. 24 across the bay from the community of Arctic Bay at the top of Baffin Island. The iceberg on the left side of this image will prove a popular destination for those wanting iceberg tea through the winter. It drifted into Admiralty Inlet a few weeks ago after travelling down Adam’s Sound and then getting grounded near Uluksa Point. It will likely get frozen in now and provide locals with the best tasting drinking water until spring. (PHOTO BY CLARE KINES)
