Photo: Aglukkaq pledges Tories help to Nunavut tourism

Nunavut MP Leona Aglukkaq listed the types of support that the Conservative government has given to tourism in remarks made at the Nunavut tourism conference in Iqaluit March 22, such as $3.5 million handed out last year for “Canada’s North Marketing Campaign” from the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. That money will pay for a new interactive website for Nunavut Tourism, she said. Aglukkaq is also in Iqaluit for an announcement later on March 22 about new federal money for tuberculosis research.
