Nunavut Premier Eva Aariak and Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd.’s president and chief executive officer, Sean Boyd. shake hands April 10 over an agreement that will see new school material about earth sciences worked into the Nunavut school curriculum, starting with schools in the Kivalliq region. The announcement comes after a year-long memorandum-of-understanding between Agnico-Eagle and the GN. “Agnico-Eagle is deeply committed to ensuring that we are able to make a significant and positive difference in the Kivalliq region,” Boyd said.
