This 2010 editorial cartoon by Terry “Aislin” Mosher, long-time cartoonist at the Montreal Gazette, shows Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the North. It’s one of the cartoons featured in “Polar Lines,” the exhibit on Canadian newspaper cartoons on Inuit and northern themes prepared for Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s 40th anniversary. “We thumb our noses at a lot of well-known people, and pretentious politicians and so on,” says Mosher of the cartoonist’s craft.
