Photo: An eerie morning in Rankin Inlet

This eerie view out over the north end of Rankin Inlet shows the Kivalliq community as it woke up April 21 to the second day of blizzard conditions, which have swept through the Kivalliq and parts of Baffin this week. Schools and government offices were closed in Rankin Inlet April 20 as winds gusted to about 80 kilometres an hour. The storm calmed somewhat April 21, and residents can look forward to sunny skies and warmer temperatures starting on the weekend. (PHOTO BY NOEL KALUDJAK)
