Nunavut actor Natar Ungalaaq is nominated for a Canadian Screen Award as best actor in a supporting role for the 2017 film Iqaluit, directed by Quebec filmmaker Benoît Pilon. The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television announced its list of nominees on Tuesday, Jan. 16, which included one other northern nod: Inuk filmmaker Asinnajaq's Three Thousand was nominated as best short documentary.
