Photo: Annual search and rescue training in Arctic Bay

The Arctic Bay zone of the Civil Air Search And Rescue Association comes to Arctic Bay: CASARA held its annual training and certification this past weekend. With help from members of Canada’s Armed Forces, local search and rescue volunteers undergo annual training to help them improve their ability to locate missing people from the air. Here, Arctic Bay CASARA members are just about to board a Royal Canadian Air Force Twin Otter at Arctic Bay Airport on Oct. 18 for an exercise.
