Photo: Arctic Jubilee expedition celebrates Queen in the High Arctic

Nunavut’s Johnny Issaluk, back row, far left, along with another Canadian and five British trekkers plan on celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II June 3 with “the most remote tea party” during the festivities. Tea will be served on top of Mt. Barbeau, the highest point on the Queen Elizabeth Islands in Nunavut’s High Arctic, which were named after the Queen in 1952 in honour of her coronation.
