Iqaluit’s Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory, the inaugural winner of the Kenojuak Ashevak Memorial Award, accepts her award June 13 in Toronto. The prize, which is administered by the Inuit Art Foundation, supports an artist residency. The award ceremony at the Art Gallery of Ontario included country foods, with fresh seal.
