Soapstone carvers work in a cloud of dust last week in Aupaluk, as part of this year’s Nunavik Art workshops, offered through Avataq Cultural Institute. From Oct. 28 to Nov. 10, Nunavimmiut artists from across the region gathered in the small Ungava coast community to take part in linocut print-making, beaded sealskin purse making, jewelry and carving.
