Photo: Astro theatre shuts its doors

People in Iqaluit who wanted to see these movies, which were supposed to screen at the Astro cinema from March 9 to March 15, were surprised to find the movie theatre closed over the weekend. Reached March 12 at his Iqaluit home, owner Bryan Pearson, who opened the 135-seat, two-theatre facility in 1996, said he didn’t want to comment on the reasons behind his decision to close down.
