Baker Lake hunter Peter Owingayak, centre, harvested a rare catch Aug. 7 — a beluga whale, the first beluga pulled from Baker Lake in recent memory. Owingayak is all smiles in this photo taken at the shoreline, where a crowd of local residents came down to see the whale.
