Bathurst Inlet in Nunavut’s Kitikmeot region, show here, has long been proposed as a promising site for a huge port project which would allow mining companies to bring in fuel more cheaply and cut the costs of shipping out ore. Now Sabina Gold and Silver and Xstrata Zinc Canada want to revive the Bathurst Inlet port and road project four years after its former promoters pulled the project out of the regulatory process.
