Photo: Break-ins down, other crimes up in Nunavut’s capital

Staff Sargent David Combden of the Nunavut RCMP crunches Iqaluit’s crime numbers for city councillors at a meeting Jan. 26. According to Combden, break-ins nearly halved in the capital city between 2014 and 2015 while rates of drug trafficking, mischief and prisoners held in the Iqaluit detachment all significantly increased in 2015.
