Photo: CamBay cleans up

People in Cambridge Bay are engaged in a big community clean-up. On July 12, 15 adults and four children cleaned up a large area on the way to Mount Pelly, collecting more than 80 bags of garbage, some of which is shown in this photo. That’s the second time there’s been a mass clean-up in the community and people all over town continue to tidy up their own property and neighborhoods. On July 19, volunteers will gather for lunch at the Luke Novoligak community hall and then head out for a shoreline clean up. (PHOTO COURTESY OF M. INGRAM)
