Photo: Canada loses a great artist

This work called “Family” by Lucy Tasseor Tutsweetok of Arviat, who died last month at 77, is typical of many of her carvings. Known as Tasseor, she became famous among collectors of Inuit art for her sculptures of mothers and children and family groups represented through clusters of faces.
