Canadian Armed Forces members of the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry hone their qamutik-making skills recently inside a hangar at the Cambridge Bay airport. The PPCLI, stationed in Edmonton, is part of Operation Nunalivit 2015, Canada's annual sovereignty exercise in the High Arctic. This year, the exercise will include 1 Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, support from the United States Air National Guard's 109 Airlift Wing based in New York state and members of the Royal Canadian Navy's Fleet Diving Unit, who plan to do under-ice dives to the wreck of the HMS Erebus near Cambridge Bay.
