Photo: Celebrating a year of cooking with a community feast

Fresh bannock and other homemade foods crowd a table at Apex’s Nanook School June 5 at a year-end feast hosted by the school’s cooking club. Nanook School principal, Mat Knickelbain, at the microphone at front, welcomes family and friends of club members along with other Apex residents who were specially invited to celebrate a successful year of teaching elementary school children how to shop for, and cook, healthy meals.
