Ningiukulu Teevee’s work “Appeased” is among 28 of the Cape Dorset artist’s drawings now on display at the Assiniboine Park Pavillion, through a partnership between the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “Ningiukulu Teevee: Kinngait Stories,” which opened Jan. 13, continues until July 22 at the John P. Crabb Gallery in the Pavillion. The exhibition, which explores the relationship between abstraction and representation, along with photographs documenting Teevee, her work and her home community, was recently on view at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, D.C.
