Photo: Country food sells quickly in Iqaluit

Hunter Mike Qappik sells seal meat June 11 at the 13th Iqaluit country food market at the Iqaluit Square in one of two market tents there. Qappik sold 13 large ziplock bags of fresh seal meat for $40 each. About 60 men, women and children showed up to buy food at the market where another hunter, Ricky Issaluk, had also brought a few bags of Arctic char. The market opened at 5 p.m., and everything sold out within a few minutes. (PHOTO BY SAMANTHA DAWSON)
