Photo: Curbing the Monday night blues in Cambridge Bay

Winter is dark and cold in Nunavut but Cambridge Bay residents will now have a weekly gathering to help dispel those winter blues. Kat Saunders came up with something called “Monday Night Hangout,” an event that welcomes children and adults alike to the hamlet’s Luke Novoligak Community Hall. Every Monday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. residents are invited to come and hang out, play video or board games, watch movies, plan and promote community events or just chat over coffee.
