Photo: Drivers beware in Iqaluit

Iqaluit drivers woke up to potentially hazardous road conditions Oct. 11, after an overnight squall brought high winds, snow and rain. By mid-morning city crews had sanded most of the main thoroughfares and a traffic stoppage created by an accident near the Road to Nowhere had ended. Schools remained open, although school bus service did not run in the morning. Motorists are still advised to drive slowly and pay attention to road conditions. (PHOTO BY JIM BELL)
