Participants — elders and young mothers — taking a drum dance outfit making workshop offered by the Kitikmeot Heritage Society hold up their work April 22 at the May Hakongak library and cultural centre in Cambridge Bay. The elder-made outfits will eventually become part of the society's collection, said program manager Pamela Gross. This week, the society is holding a similar after-school workshop for girls who will make doll-sized drum-dancing parkas. (PHOTO BY JANE GEORGE)
