Photo: Elders from Nunavik picnic at Percé

Elders and youth from Kangiqsujuaq enjoyed a picnic overlooking Percé Rock in the Gaspé region of Quebec last month. The group visited Gaspé in August as part of a cultural exchange to see the traditional land of the Mi’kmaq. The trip also took the group to the former home of Willam Wakeham, the doctor and fisheries inspector for whom Kangiqsujuaq’s Wakeham Bay is
