RCMP members and firefighters in Iqaluit say they were called to the Baffin Correctional Centre to respond to a riot among inmates on the evening of Oct. 20. Inmates at the centre are reported to have set fire to their linens during the disturbance. There’s no word yet if there were any injuries to staff or inmates.
