Photo: Food bank gets help from gala auction

Christmas is traditionally a time of giving, and Iqaluit’s Niqinik Nuatsivik will be able to help more people in the city over the holidays, thanks to a donation of $10,000 raised from a Nov. 26 auction at First Air’s gala in Iqaluit. Niqinik Nuatsivik, a registered charity, entered into a three-year sponsorship deal with First Air earlier this year that sees the airline offer discounts on shipping and other benefits. (FILE PHOTO)
