Photo: For the Canadian North airline, it’s football season

The Canadian North airline unveiled this Boeing 737-300 aircraft in Edmonton Nov. 18, freshly re-painted with the logos of all nine Canadian Football League teams. The airline will use the plane to fly the 102nd Grey Cup champions home from Vancouver following the Grey Cup game Dec. 1. Earlier this year, Canadian North worked out a three-year deal to become the CFL’s official airline. The company also enjoy a charter relationship with the Edmonton Eskimos. Canadian North’s parent company, Norterra, is now owned 100 per cent by the Inuvialuit Development Corp., following a deal last March in which the Nunasi Corp. transferred its 50 per cent ownership share in the company to the Inuvialuit.
