You coudn’t have ordered a better framing job: Aurora borealis light up the sky above a frozen boat near Rankin Inlet on Dec. 17. This past fall, and so far this winter, the skies above the Kivalliq have been generous to photographers and northern lights lovers, offering up near nightly light shows on the west coast of Hudson Bay.
