Fresh air, fresh sounds and happy faces. Cailyn DeGrandpre and Samantha Kigutaq-Metcalfe throat singing at the Feb. 20 Inuit Day event at the Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre. Despite rain and weird warm weather that saw temperatures soar to plus 7 Celsius, scores of Ottawa Inuit came out to eat country food, play traditional games and take part in bannock-making and throat singing competitions.
