Photo: Future sled dogs delight local visitors

Semenko, one of Allen Gordon's sled dogs, was photographed by Caroline Vancoillie, a Belgian photographer and traveller who was in Nunavik Aug. 17, en route to a northern photography tour courtesy of Great Canadian Wildlife Adventures. Vancoillie told Nunatsiaq News it was her first trip to Kuujjuaq and called it an unforgettable experience.

Vancoillie told Nunatsiaq News it was her first trip to Kuujjuaq and called it an unforgettable experience. “I had no idea what to expect but I was amazed how friendly people were over there. When walking on the street, they were waving. It looks like a very close community.” She said Gordon took the time to show her around town and introduced her to his sled dogs and their puppies.
