While the snowy, grey weather in Iqaluit June 18 may have kept some Iqalungmiut snoozing in bed, or holed up in office cubicles, those pictured above pick up trash along a creek near Iqaluit’s causeway. The community cleanup got underway at 9 a.m. June 18 in Iqaluit and volunteers soon spread out across the town in an effort to make the town cleaner and more beautiful for summer.
