Iqaluit voters start trickling into the cadet hall May 9 as polls are now open. Nunavummiut can cast their ballots today on whether they think their municipality should have the power to sell land. Right now, only governments and land claims organizations can own land. A yes vote in your community would allow municipalities the option to sell the land they own to individuals and businesses. Polls in each community are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (PHOTO BY THOMAS ROHNER)
