A tradition continues: Johnny May’s 50th annual candy drop in Kuujjuaq might have been postponed from Christmas Day this year due to bad weather, but Nunavik’s famed pilot made up for it Dec. 29 when he dropped gifts over an estimated 1,000 Kuujjuamiut. May, pictured second from right, had help from Santa himself, who flew in this year’s candy drop, along with volunteers Bryan York, far left, and Bruce Turner, far right.
