Greenland Premier Kuupik Kleist speaking Aug. 9 inside the Nunavut Legislative Assembly building during an official visit to Nunavut. He met with Nunavut Premier Eva Aariak and flew to Pangnirtung this past week to talk about economic development. “We have been discussing the issues related to economic development in regards to mineral resources and oil and gas,” Kleist said. “The whole world is focusing on the Arctic area and we have a task in addressing the issues, and we have a responsibility which reaches to all countries.” Read more about his visit and Greenland’s plans for oil and gas development on Nunatsiaq Online.
