A 30th birthday is something to celebrate, and Nunavut Sivuniksavut is doing just that this week with a two-day conference in the national capital region. Dubbed “A Conference to Celebrate Innovation in Inuit and Indigenous Post-secondary Education,” the April 27 to April 29 event will feature speakers from Nunavut, Alaska, southern Canada, New Zealand, Norway and elsewhere to talk not just about welcoming and supporting Aboriginal students in post-secondary institutions, but also the creation of meaningful courses and curricula on Aboriginal subject matters.
