Kuujjuaq mayor Tunu Napartuk, left, watches as municipal staff and volunteers help to hoist up the town’s Christmas tree Dec. 5, which will stand on display for the holidays outside the northern village office. This is the second year the town has harvested a tree from a nearby area locals call “the Range.” Nunavik Rotors transport the tree for free by helicopter.
