Photo: Hope Bay touts progress at Nunavut Mining Symposium

‎”Hats off to our exploration team for increasing our known resources,” said Alex Buchan, director of community relations for TMAC Resources Inc., April 14 at the Nunavut Mining Symposium in Iqaluit. TMAC wants to pour its first gold bar in December 2016 from its Doris North mine in the Hope Bay project, located south of Cambridge Bay on the mainland. TMAC now has a 20 year deal with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. on land use as well as a new Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement with the Kitimeot Inuit Association.
