Photo: How are you celebrating Nunavut’s 15th anniversary?

Lillian Simik snapped this photo of sunbathing walruses about 50 miles northeast of Chesterfield Inlet and submitted it as their her entry to the Nunavut at 15 contest. The Government of Nunavut is looking to hear how you plan to celebrate the territory’s 15th anniversary this year, by sharing your answer in essay or story format shown in either photos, video or musical performance, in any of Nunavut’s official languages. Selected entries could win an iPod or a box of country food. Send your Nunavut at 15 submissions to communications@gmail.com or to your local government liaison office by May 31; winners will be announced at the Nunavut Day celebration in Iqaluit on July 9, 2014.
