The power corporation is still cleaning up from an Aug. 1 diesel spill that leaked 14,000 litres of fuel from its local power plant. “Despite the exceptional and accidental event that took place, we want to thank the community and the youth who joined us for their ongoing collaboration,” said Hydro-Québec spokesman Christian Garneau. The results of recent tests to measure the impact of the spill on local water systems should be available next week, he said. (PHOTO COURTESY OF HYDRO-QUÉBEC)
