Photo: ICC assembly wraps up in Inuvik

Outgoing members of the Inuit Circumpolar Council’s executive committee, including outgoing chair Aqqaluk Lynge, take a bow at the closing of the 2014 general assembly in Inuvik, Northwest Territories July 24. Several countries have elected new members to serve on the new council under incoming chair Okalik Eegeesiak, former president of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association. The assembly concluded with the signing and adoption of the Kitigaaryuit Declaration, outlining the guiding principles and activities for the ICC over the next four years.
