Only in Nunavut: snowmobiling in June. Two snowmobilers ride into Frobisher Bay at 10:30 p.m., June 8. The sea ice might not last much longer, though. According to Environment Canada, temperatures will reach a high of 6 C this weekend. According to the National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, the earliest date on record for Frobisher Bay being completely ice free was July 9 and the lastest was Sept. 9.
