Clearance and port inspection divers from Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic, with the help of 1st Engineering Support Unit from Kingston, Ont., inspect a fresh water intake pipe at Canadian Forces base Alert April 7. The divers were in the North as part of the Canadian Armed Forces' Operation Nunalivut, an annual sovereignty exercise in Nunavut conducted since 2007. This year's exercise is unfolding around Resolute Bay and Alert until April 22 and involves 230 CAF personnel from across Canada including members of 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group.
